As we move towards an expected March release date, Apple moves right along with the beta testing process. Which means we have new beta seeds for developers. And, soon enough, public testers.

But, for now, developers have new software to test. Apple on Tuesday seeded the third betas of iOS 15.4, iPadOS 15.4, macOS Monterey 12.3, tvOS 15.4, and watchOS 8.5 to developers. As is par for the course with prerelease software, its not meant to be downloaded and install on a daily driver. Despite the fact its the third iteration of these betas, its possible the software is still a little rough around the edges. Which can make daily use a bit more taxing.

The software is available for registered developers.

As far as whats new, there does not appear to be much in the way for the end user as far as this beta seed is concerned. We do know that Apple is adding some new elements to the mix, though. Namely, with the upcoming launch of iOS 15.4, the company is laying the groundwork for even more sports content finding its way into the Apple News app.

The upcoming software update will also support adding notifications for web apps, and bringing support for the 120Hz ProMotion display technology to all animations.

And of course, the big new additions. For one, Face ID will work with face masks without relying on an Apple Watch. And, for the folks who have been waiting for Universal Control, that feature is set to arrive with the launch of iPadOS 15.4 and macOS Monterey 12.3.
